Travis Kelce Praises Taylor Swift’s Surprise Performance at TEU
The National Football League’s famed tight end Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift made back-to-back appearances in the annual three-day training camp for tight ends in Nashville. The three-day event, popularly known as the Tight End University or TEU, is the brainchild of Kelce, fellow NFL TE George Kittle and sportscaster Greg Olsen .
Afterwards, the duo also made an appearance in an after party where the singer surprised everyone with an impromptu performance with Kane Brown . The impromptu performance at the Tight Ends & Friends concert at the Brooklyn Bowl saw the singer belting into her 2014 hit “ Shake It Off.” And the audience swayed and hooted in elation and joy.
Travis Kelce, who was in attendance, also enjoyed cheering on Swift . In a new episode of the “New Heights” podcast hosted by the Kelce brothers, Travis Kelce spoke more about Swift’s impromptu show.
Kelce recalled that his rumored soon-to-be-fiancee had personally approached Brown and his band to see if they’d be open to a spontaneous on-stage moment. He added that Swift has an ability to make people feel at ease, which helped in Brown and the band, agreeing to the idea.
Travis also expressed admiration for the care and attention the “ So High School ” singer put into preparing the band:
She was, like, in the back doing, like, musical notes for like [the band]. Like sheets of music… she was like making sure that the band and everybody knew. Everybody was just, you know yeah. Then just went out there without practicing, and it was pitch perfect and just killed it .
The Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, didn’t forget, to give a special shoutout to Kane Brown while praising Taylor Swift’s spontaneous on-stage moment. Kelce shared that they intentionally timed the surprise to when Brown, 31, was already on stage, trusting in his experience and stage presence.
Kelce admitted that they knew that a professional like Kane Brown, who could be up for it. Moreover, he praised the “ Backseat Driver ” singer, calling him a true professional who’s not shy at all by any means.
Jason Kelce jokes about an unexpected first for Taylor Swift
Taylor Swift’s show in Music City marked her first-ever show since she regained control of her music catalog . Last month, she shared a detailed letter on her website, explaining that she has full control over every facet of her career, from music videos and concert films to artwork, photography, and unreleased content.

However, that might not be the only one. In the podcast, Jason Kelce joked about yet another first. And it’s definitely a hilarious take. The older Kelce quibbled whether that was her first time in an event sponsored by Dude Wipes. “ It has to be the first and only, I would assume, ” Travis jokingly replied.
Dude Wipes was one of the sponsors of the event. The company, known for their flushable wipes, is known for their witty marketing campaigns and USP.
The event was presented by Bud Light, with additional brand presence from Old Spice, Jersey Mike’s, Kinder’s, New Era, and Gatorade, excluding Dude Wipes. The sponsors had their unique moments across key moments such as the welcome party, on-field workouts, and a newly introduced golf event during this fifth installment of TEU.
