Farmer Thomas and Clarette’s Romance Blooms Beyond FWAW
After a whirlwind season of romance and dramatic walkouts, Farmer Thomas has finally declared his love for Clarette in the 2025 season of Farmer Wants A Wife .
As the season drew to an end, Farmer Thomas decided to confess how he truly felt about the 35-year-old teacher in one of his favourite spots on the farm at sunset, surrounded by flowers and candles.

Farmer Thomas was a man of few words in the fifteenth season, but he mustered the courage to admit his feelings.
“Clarette, when you walked into that room my eyes just locked on you and you took my hand and that really meant a lot to me,” he said. “We’ve had our ups and downs, but we’ve managed to get through it stronger.”
“I can be too honest at times, but I can be myself around you and you laugh at my bad jokes. You’ve sacrificed so much, followed your dream, coming to Australia, shows how resilient you are.
“You’ll make the most beautiful wife and mother. Clarette, I love you,” he concluded, ending his speech with a passionate kiss.
Clarette, who had patiently waited for this declaration, was naturally over the moon.
“You’re an amazing person inside and out, I’ve been waiting and hoping for you and you’re here,” she said. “It’s amazing to be in love. It’s what everyone hopes for in life.”

It certainly wasn’t a simple season for the young farmer, who at first put “all his eggs in one basket” early on in the season with Claire, who voluntarily left soon after the all-important solo date.
Despite her early departure, Claire didn’t entirely disappear. Mid-season, it was revealed she and Thomas were texting one another.
The remaining women were naturally upset upon discovering the secret communication – Clarette the most.
During the FWAW reunion, Farmer Thomas revealed she sent a message wishing him “good luck with the harvest and the show.” In which he then “blocked her number and deleted her contact.”
This wasn’t the only communication as the farmer also claimed Claire sent a photo of herself and another girl from the farm via messenger.

While this situation was undoubtedly uncomfortable, it was exactly the push Farmer Thomas needed.
His relationship with Clarette has continued to blossom away from the cameras, she has even found a teaching position near the farm in Kimba, SA.
But an Instagram post from Thomas revealed there was more to their story than what was seen on television.
“What you saw on the show wasn’t the whole picture or truth. Yes, there were challenges and tough moments. But there were also so many real, beautiful moments that didn’t make it to the screen and it’s disappointing that so much of our love story was never shown,” he wrote.
This admission was then followed by Clarette’s, where she revealed Thomas asked her to leave FWAW twice!
“To Tom, thank you for all those cheeky winks across the room to reassure me we’d get through this,” she began. “Thank you you for all the walks hiding from the cameras that turned into make shift picnics eating chocolate.

“Thank you for all the deep and serious conversations. Thank you for your honesty, kindness & love from the beginning.
“Thank you for it all. And you were right (begrudgingly admitting here ) I should have said yes to being your girlfriend the first time you asked me and we should have left together when you wanted to. But excited that we get to share our real love story together now,” she concluded.
In statement shared to her own website titled The Fourth Wall Farmgirl , she touched more on the “emotional” rollercoaster.
“We should have left a lot sooner than we did but unfortunately when you’re in a contract and people’s jobs are dependent on you staying it puts you in a difficult position. I wanted Tom to have the fullest experience possible exploring every connection when the new girls arrived and I didn’t want him to cut his own journey short and ever regret it. But he was right, we should have walked when he wanted to; hindsight is a beautiful thing,” she wrote.
While the pair were concerned about people’s livelihoods, Clarette and Thomas have admitted to Yahoo Lifestyle that they’d wish they “had been a bit selfish.”
“I think the storyline would have been a lot different if we’d have left so early on. They would have had to show our love story from the beginning,” she told the publication. “Looking back, it’s a bit of a regret now, but you can’t change what happened.”
