**"Farmer Wants a Wife: Rachael's Emotional Defense of Clarette Sparks Drama"** This version keeps the original meaning while adding intrigue and emotional weight to capture attention.

Farmer Wants A Wife ’s Rachael has spoken out in defence of her co-star Clarette after she received a ‘villain edit’ on this year’s season of the reality show and was heavily criticised on social media. The fan favourite contestant, who was one of Farmer Thomas ’ final three women before he picked Clarette , shared a lengthy post on Substack this week, opening up about the filming experience and what it’s been like watching the show on TV.
“I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t deeply hurt by the characterisation of my friend Clarette,” she wrote. “For someone I know personally to receive such negativity and criticism has been difficult to observe, and I’m not even the person experiencing it.”
Rachael went on to describe Clarette as “strong, brave and incredibly kind”, and added that she is grateful for all of her support, both now and throughout filming when they were navigating their connections with Thomas.

Speaking with Yahoo Lifestyle , Rachael says it’s to let viewers know that the version of Clarette portrayed on TV and receiving backlash online isn’t the person she knows and loves.
“I was a bit hesitant to say too much, but I just felt really compelled to talk about who she is, and that I’ve been a bit disappointed about some of the things that have been said about her, which I find, in my opinion, not to be true,” she remarks. “She's really just a beautiful person inside and out.”

What was Clarette really like during filming?
While some viewers accused Clarette of being spiteful and jealous about the other women’s relationships with Farmer Thomas on the show, Rachael reveals that she was actually “incredibly supportive” throughout filming.
“Way back before I had a date with Thomas, she always respected where my connection was with him. And we’d openly talk about different types of connections that we both would try and grow in different ways,” she shares.
“I didn't for a moment feel that she didn't respect me trying to create that connection as well, which I think is incredibly mature of her and all the other women. I think that's really important to note.”
Rachael adds that she doesn’t think viewers were able to see Clarette’s positive traits on the show, which is ultimately what led Farmer Thomas to pick her.
“I don't feel that who she is as a person really came out, and all the bubbly, wonderful sides I know of her didn't really come across,” she reflects. “I still speak to her very much to this day. We're not just farm friends now, we're friends in real life, which is great.”
Rachael's current relationship with Farmer Thomas
Although she didn’t end up finding love with Farmer Thomas through the experience, Rachael admits that they’ve stayed in contact since filming wrapped late last year.
“We've chatted since the show's finished, so I'm really supportive of him and Clarette. There's no bad juju or anything like that, and I still chat to him from time to time,” she says.

Are Thomas and Clarette still together?
There have been multiple reports claiming that Thomas and Clarette have stayed together after the show, with an anonymous participant telling Yahoo Lifestyle that she has moved to South Australia to be with him.
“Yes, they’re still together,” they share. “She is working at a school about an hour from his farm, so they have given her a house to live in. So they’re not technically living together.”
This comes shortly after Chattr published a screenshot of a school newsletter that was sent in January, announcing that Clarette had started working there.
